About Halley 

Halley Pearlstein is a classically trained musician with several years of experience teaching private voice and piano lessons. She has taught  students of all ages and levels of experience in studios throughout New Jersey.

 

In addition to classical music, Halley also enjoys teaching musical theater, pop, and jazz. Regardless of the genre, she encourages healthy technique and assigns repertoire that is tailored to each student's age and ability.  Halley strives to create a friendly and supportive environment for her students. She is passionate about helping students develop strong musicianship and confidence in their craft, while instilling a love for music.

Halley's students have placed and participated in  music competitions and festivals including the Mid Atlantic Music Teachers Guild and the Princeton Festival Piano Competition. Her students have also been accepted into the prestigious Princeton Girl Choir. 

 

Halley holds a Master of Music from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Delaware. She is an active member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).  She performs professionally with the Philadelphia Orchestra as part of the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir. Halley has performed several operatic roles and has toured Europe as a choral singer.
